  • Cancelation Policy

Cancelation 7 or More Days Prior to the Event: Full Refund

Your SnackPit order is cancelable for a full refund until 7 days prior to your event. For example, if your event is scheduled on a Monday, to be eligible for a full refund you would need to cancel your order by 12:00 noon EST the prior Monday.

After a cancelation request is processed, a confirmation will be sent to the email address on file and a full credit will be issued to the credit card used for the order within 3 business days. Note: Depending on the financial institution, please allow 7-10 days for the credit to appear on your account.

Tip: The first email reminder for a booked event is sent 10 days before your event. If you think you’ll need to cancel, this is the best time to do it to ensure a full refund.

    Late Cancelation: 50% Refund

An amount equal to 50% of the order total will be assessed for cancelations less than 7 days prior to your event. A confirmation of the cancelation will be sent to the email address on file and the 50% credit will be issued to the credit card used for the order within 3 business days. Note: Depending on the financial institution, please allow 7-10 days for the credit to appear on your account.

If you need to cancel your event, please contact us at serving@drsnackpit.com as soon as you can.

  • You will receive two separate confirmations because they are generated by two different system processes.

The first confirmation is for the calendar booking to reserve your date and the other is your order confirmation.

Note: The calendar booking confirmation is tentative until an order is received. If an order is not received within 24 hours of the calendar booking, the hold on the chosen date will be released.

  • SnackPit carts are self-contained and do not require water or electricity for operations.

However, to deliver hot dog service, we purchased an electronic hot dog roller. Since our preference is to avoid the noise and fumes produced by generators, we will require access to electricity if this service is ordered for residential events. D&R SnackPit will arrive with extension cords (if needed).

  • Though we’d love to make hot dogs available to all cart sizes we had to factor in certain limitations: time, capacity, cook/hold time and distribution rate:

    1. Time: Serve booking reservations are offered at 2, 3 or 4 hours (plus ~1 hour for setup and 1 hour for teardown).

    2. Capacity: Our hot dog roller has maximum batch capacity of 24 hot dogs.

    3. Cook/Hold Time: Per HACCP food safety guidelines, maximum hold time after cooking (~40 minutes) is 4 hours.

    4. Distribution Rate: The ability to cook more than one (24-count) batch of hot dogs is contingent on how quickly the cooked items are served.

Therefore, in considering these constraints and the lowest denominators, we concluded it would be best to assume we would only be able to prepare one full batch per event.

  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) is an FDA food safety management system. Per these guidelines:

    • Hot dogs: We will serve Hebrew National® beef franks for this offering. The maximum hold time for hot dogs after cooking is 4 hours then they must be discarded.

    • PB&Js: We will serve Uncrustables® for this offering. Per the manufacturer, thawed sandwiches should be eaten within 1 day or 24 hours for best taste and refreezing is not recommended.

Therefore, to comply with HACCP food safety and manufacturer guidelines, the Cartmaster will dispose of any remaining hot dogs or PBJs that have not been distributed during your event.

  • Yes, absolutely! Choose the custom cart to select the items you think would best serve your audience or perhaps complement other vendors at your event.

Note: Customized carts require a $185.00 pre-tax order minimum.

Tip: We highly recommend choosing products from at least 8-10 categories to ensure a bountiful variety of offerings to your guests.

  • D&R SnackPit is only licensed to sell commercially produced and packaged items. All of our products are hermetically sealed by the manufacturer and stamped with an expiration date for quality control.

However, if you would like the CartMaster to reserve space on the cart to distribute non-edible party favors to guests that visit the cart during your event, we’re happy to do so.

D&R SnackPit is not responsible for customer party favors added to the cart for guests and makes no representations and extends no warranties of any kind, either express or implied, to the party favors offered.

  • We get it, things happen. If an unforseen circumstance or inclement weather forces the cancelation of your outdoor event (and relocating the SnackPit to an indoor location is not an option), we can offer a rain check for the amount of your order, minus a $50.00 rain check fee.

Though D&R SnackPit cannot guarantee that the new date you desire will be available, rain checks are good for 30 days from the date of the original event and must be redeemed within this time period. You can check date availability here.

If a rain check is not redeemed before its expiration date, the Cancelation Policy will go into effect and 50% of the original fee, minus the $50 rain check fee, will be issued to the credit card used for the order within 3 business days.

Important: With respect to our seasonal operating schedule (April-December), rain checks can only be issued April through November to allow for fulfillment prior to the close of our operating season (last business day is December 31st, annually). Therefore, orders placed in December for dates in December are not eligible for a rain check.

If you need a rain check, please contact us at serving@drsnackpit.com as soon as possible.

  • Guests absolutely love the novel and experiential nature of the SnackPit cart—and they typically make multiple visits!

Therefore, we recommend that our customers generally plan for 1-4 snacks per person. Our pre-filled standard or kosher carts are built on this 1:4 ratio, come in four sizes and include samples of every product in our catalog:

    • Small serves up to 25 people.

    • Small + hot dogs & PB&Js serves up to 25 people (GREAT for kids parties!)

    • Medium serves up to 50 people.

    • Large serves up to 75 people.

    • Super serves up to 100 people.

Keep in mind that you *keep any snack item “leftovers.” Your CartMaster will package your leftover items and place them in the location designated during the setup check-in before he/she departs. D&R SnackPit will ensure that products used to fulfill your order will have a minimum shelf life of 1 week after your event.

In addition to our pre-filled carts, you have the option to order a fully customized cart, where you select each item individually. Custom carts require a minimum order of $185 pre-tax.

*IMPORTANT: In compliance with HACCP guidelines, the Cartmaster will dispose of any remaining hot dogs or PBJs that have not been distributed during your event. See the FAQ entitled Why can’t I keep the leftover hot dogs or PB&Js for more info.

  • Yes! In alignment with our Cancelation Policy, changes can be made to your order up to 7 days prior to your event. If the changes result in additional fees, payment is required at the time of processing the updated order.

If you need to change your order, please contact us at serving@drsnackpit.com.

  • If weather events like thunder/lightning storms, 20+-mile-an-hour winds or downpours create unsafe conditions for you, your guests or the CartMaster and cancelation is necessary, our Cancelation Policy applies. However, cancelations are also eligible for a Rain Check.

  • Yes! Many snacks in our catalog are kosher, and you can choose from a pre-filled fully kosher cart or build a fully-customized cart with exclusively kosher items.

  • For inside or outside vending, the space requirement is 8’ x 8’ with the tent canopy; 6’ x 6’ without.

  • D&R SnackPit needs about 1 hour for setup and 1 hour for teardown.

  • For our carts, absolutely nothing. The SnackPit cart is fully self-contained. It needs no electricity, water or generator to power it.

However, if you order the small pre-filled cart with hot dogs & PB&J sandwiches, we will require access to electricity to run the hot dog roller.

Also, we do ask that all household pets be properly secured.
